![]() SAMUEL J. OWEN founded Samuel J. Owen, P.C. in 1976 as a firm specializing in serving the estate planning needs of his clients. Currently, the firm consists of Mr. Owen and his staff: Melanie Stickler, Paralegal, Joan Bumpus, Secretary and Pat Owen, Office Manager. The firm's practice consists of matters related to estate planning, probate, will and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship issues and litigation in these areas. Mr. Owen has practiced law in Lakewood and Golden for twenty-seven years. He graduated from Drake University and received his law degree from the University of Nebraska. He is a member of the bar in Colorado, Nebraska, the U.S. District Court, U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Supreme Court. He is presently affiliated with the Denver Tax Association (President, 1982), Centennial Estate Planning Council (President, 1982), Colorado Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Member of Colorado, Denver, First Judicial District and Nebraska Bar Associations. Mr. Owen lives in Golden with his wife, Pat; they have two daughters. His interests included reading, skiing, running, hiking and traveling. MELANIE J. STICKLER graduated from Westmar College and has received certification in Secondary Education from Black Hills State College and a Paralegal Certificate from Denver Paralegal Institute.
